Lawn Sprinkler Installation

We take pride in installing the best irrigation system that you can buy. Read below about the Aquatech difference. We do things different than most other companies. Here are some of the ways we deliver a superior product.

An Irrigation Permit

01

The Permit

We do things correctly and the first step is to obtain a permit. This process involves a city inspector looking over the plans to confirm that they are good and will efficiently water your lawn. An inspector will also come and inspect your system after it is complete to confirm that we installed it according to specs. A company that skips this step will rarely deliver a good product.

02

Quality Parts

Did you know that there is not a single manufacturer that produces all of the best products? One manufacturer may produce the best, longest lasting head, but their controllers are lacking. Another may produce that best valve, but not have any other stand out products. Based on years of experience we pick the best products from different manufacturers to produce a system that will function correctly for years to come.

The Backflow Assembly

The backflow assembly is what keeps water moving only one direction through the supply line. This is what protects the water you drink from contamination which is very important. Depending on the city and situation it will probably be a double check assembly which we will install in a valve box with ample room below for water and silt accumulation. We will seal off around pipes entering and exiting the box and you will get an assembly with stainless steel handles that will not rust away a few years later. We will also make sure the box that it is in is flush with your lawn so that it does not become a trip hazard or interfere with mowing your lawn.

04

Pressure Reduction

Too much pressure can eventually cause your system to fail in the form of cracks, holes and leaks in valves, heads, driplines, etc. We utilize pressure reducers where needed to make sure the pressure is where it should be for optimum performance.

05

Swing Joints

If you have ever lived in a home with the old style cut off nipples supporting the sprinkler heads you know that the number one maintenance issue on a sprinkler system is heads breaking off. We have wonderful news! There is a better way. Enter the swing joint! A swing joint is a flexible connection between your pipe and head. It virtually eliminates heads breaking off. We wouldn't dream of not using these on a new system, but some contractors still use the old connectors that are a maintenance nightmare!

06

Grass Preservation

The installation of a sprinkler system can be really hard on a lawn. We will try to minimize the toll on the lawn when possible by saving pieces of sod to replant when we are done. We will also use a smaller hand held trencher that cuts a trench only 2" wide for the smaller zone piping. This will greatly reduce the negative affects on your lawn.

An Extra Wire

One of the most time consuming and costly fixes on a sprinkler system is when a wire gets cut. A shovel getting into a wire or a root putting pressure on it can eventually cause a fault. Tracking down a buried fault can be very costly. When we install your system we will bury one additional wire to save you time and money down the road when you need it. That way the technician can simply redo two connections and you are up running again!

Drip Filtration and Pressure Reduction

A drip system without these two things will work great for a few years, but then the problems start occurring. An unfiltered system will start to have clogged emitters which is only resolved by replacing all the drip tubing. One without pressure reduction will with time start to see holes randomly burst in the tubing. We will be sure you do not have these problems by installing the proper filtration and pressure reduction.

 A Quality Controller

The controller is the brains of your system. We can install a controller that meets your needs. Today's smart controllers can help you save water and can be controlled from your phone anywhere in the world. You can even grant access to someone else so you don't have to be home to let someone access the system. We will not give you a cheap, off-brand controller from a big box store. We stick to reputable, proven brands.

10

Flow Control Valves

A flow control valve is a regular automatic valve, but with one additional feature. It has a screw adjustment of how quickly water can flow through the valve. This allows you to slow water flow though the valve (reducing pressure) which can greatly reduce the misting effect, especially with spray nozzles. Any water that is released in the form of mist simply blows away and is wasted.

Documentation

When done with your new system we will provide you with a maintenance schedule, suggested settings, a written warranty and an as-built diagram. We will also give you an additional laminated version of the as-built diagram to mount next to your controller for future reference. The as-built diagram is a very valuable document as it will save much time (time=money) in the future since it will take a lot of the guesswork out of repairs and maintenance.

12

A Great Warranty

When it is all said and done we will stand by our work. We offer a 3-year parts and labor warranty on new systems and a 5-year warranty on parts. You shouldn't need to call us for a good, long while, but if you do we will be there for you.
